Starting with the new camping season, Camping de Berken also welcomes guests with limited mobility in the new Life chalet. This modern 4-person chalet has been specially designed for guests who value extra comfort, space and accessibility.
The chalet features two bedrooms and offers four comfortable sleeping places. Thanks to the wide sliding doors, all rooms are easily accessible. Each room has been designed with sufficient turning space for a wheelchair or walker. The spacious bathroom is equipped with sturdy grab rails near the toilet and in the shower, and includes a height-adjustable shower seat with a removable backrest.
The entrance to the chalet is fitted with a ramp, allowing guests to enter easily and safely. Inside, the chalet is entirely on one level and fully barrier-free, enabling you to move around comfortably and independently.
Like our other chalets, the Life chalet is set in a beautiful green environment, overlooking a playground and close to the forest edge of the Drouwenerzand. Enjoy peace, nature and comfort, with all facilities within easy reach.

Lovely chalet
Had a wonderful stay in a lovely (4-person) chalet with a covered terrace. Comfortable box-spring bed, large bathroom with a nice shower. Clean and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Went on some beautiful walks, starting right from the campsite. Also went on some lovely bike rides. I would love to come back here!
One minor drawback is that the WiFi doesn't always work well.

Nice, quiet campsite
Fine, quiet campsite with friendly people and everything is organised to perfection
Highly recommended for both seniors and families with young children. Less suitable for adolescents. The campsite is situated in a beautiful location with woods and heathland, in short, a sublime base for cyclists and walkers.

Small but very comfortable
Very friendly staff and clean, quiet campsite. We were in the small Berkenstudio with dog. It was small but very comfortable and everything was there. Our dog could walk on the terrace in peace as it was completely enclosed. You could walk the dog just a short walk from the studio. Lovely quiet environment, highly recommended to go there.

Zonnebloem electric bike Gasselte
Would you like to explore the surroundings of Camping de Berken? Then you can use a special Sunflower bike. This is an electric tandem bike on which you can cycle side by side. These electric bikes are available from Icare Maandhoes. The passenger on the tandem bike can optionally pedal along. This makes the bike ideal for cycling with people who are unable to cycle independently. The bike can be reserved from Monday to Sunday by email or by telephone on 0650913205.
