At 700 metres from our campsite you will find amusement park "Drouwenerzand", a great party for all children.

Beautiful, quiet campsite
If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet campsite with many possibilities visit Camping De Berken. The campsite has beautiful pitches with privacy. We had a pitch with private sanitary facilities which look neat. A few steps and you are in the beautiful countryside of Drenthe and you can walk for miles from the campsite. Cycling from this campsite is also wonderful. Both on touring bikes and mountain bikes. But if you want to relax by your tent or caravan, you can sit quietly at your pitch. Staff are also very helpful and friendly. The laundry room looks neat but also the living room where there are several books you can read looks neat. Unfortunately we could only stay for a long weekend, we were not free for any longer, but we will definitely come back.

The campsite is beautiful, spacious pitches, clean sanitary facilities, at the pitch: water-electricity-drain-cai, a comfortable combination. More than enough walking and cycling routes.

Beautiful campsite with neat facilities
Lovely campsite with neat facilities and nice play areas for children, if you walk into the woods behind the campsite you come to a beautiful piece of nature with Drouwenerzand a little further on.

Relaxed, quiet, tidy and welcoming campsite
Great campsite clean, quiet and spacious. Our stay in studio de luxe: clean, tidy and fully equipped with excellent beds and nice chairs on the veranda. Definitely recommended. We were offered a booklet with cycle routes from the campsite and the welcome package was certainly to our liking. In the immediate vicinity Borger and Gasselte enough opportunities for terraces and eateries. A place to return to!

Explore Borger
There is plenty to do in Borger's neighbourhood. For instance, the village is in the middle of Geopark de Hondsrug. From here you can take various walks, such as the Hondsrugpad. Practically speaking, Borger is also a fine destination. In the village you will find an Albert Heijn, an Aldi and a Boni, among others. Did you forget your groceries anyway? Then we have the forgotten groceries shop at the campsite.
Our campsite near Borger is a great holiday destination for children. We have an animation team that provides fun activities for children all day long. In the morning we often do crafts and in the afternoon we do as many challenging games as possible outside in the woods. From your pitch, you can watch your children having fun on the playground equipment. For children who like adventure, we have extensive climbing and scrambling equipment. We also have play forest where children can build their own hut from natural materials.
