Would you like to enjoy a nice vacation at a campsite in the beautiful countryside of Drenthe but not without your four-legged friend? No worries, dogs are allowed on our campsite.
Camping with dogs is allowed on all places at our campsite in Drenthe. However, you must walk your dog outside the campsite and your dog must be on a leash at all times. Fortunately, nature is not far from our campsite and your dog can enjoy himself there! Please note: Visitors' dogs are not allowed on our campsite.
At Camping de Berken, dogs are welcome on all our camping pitches. You can choose from Comfort Pitches (XL), Comfort Pitches with private facilities, motorhome pitches and pitches on our nature camping field. All pitches are just a short walk from the forest and the surrounding walking trails.

Two dog-waste bag dispensers are available on the campsite, handy when taking your dog out.
Choose from comfort pitches, comfort pitches with private sanitary facilities, campervan pitches and the seasonal nature camping field (nature pitches in spring; tent pitches in the high and late season).
The area around Camping de Berken is ideal for campers who want to go out with their dog. From our dog-friendly campsite in Drenthe you walk straight into the forest and you can choose from several routes, suitable for both short walks and longer hikes.
From the campsite you step straight into the woods. This quiet, easy-to-follow area is very suitable for a short morning or evening walk with your dog.
A varied nature area with wide paths, open sections and quieter forest tracks. It is a pleasant place for dogs that like to explore, sniff and move around.
The core nature reserve is not accessible for dogs, but the surrounding routes are. These are calm paths with little disturbance – comfortable for dogs that are quickly distracted or sensitive to busy environments.
A larger forest area where you can make longer walks together. Dogs must be kept on a lead here, but there is plenty of space and a good choice of clearly marked routes.
Suitable for dogs that enjoy running freely and swimming. This area offers water, open sections and wide paths.
Several smaller off-lead sections, useful for shorter walks when you don’t want to travel far.
