Frequently Asked Questions

Camping

How much can I expect my electricity consumption to be?

Each pitch has a 16 A (= 3680 Watt) Euro socket. The rate is € 0.60 / kWh. The average consumption is 3 - 4 kWh per day. This usually means that you have a fridge, a coffee machine, an electric kettle, and that you charge mobile phones and use lighting. On average, the costs are therefore € 1.80 to € 2.40 per day.

When you use electric heating, a boiler, air conditioning or floor heating, your consumption can be as high as approx. 8 - 20 kWh per day. At the reception desk we can inform you about your electricity consumption. Malfunctions are remedied between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm.

What does a pitch with artificial grass mean for you?

On the spot of the awning / canopy there’s a piece of artificial grass that is 4 metres wide and 2.5 metres long. Because of this size, your awning usually completely covers the piece of artificial grass. It also means that there’s a fixed set-up for campervans, caravans, tents and pop-up campers. If your awning doesn’t completely cover the artificial grass, you may drive your steel tent pegs through the artificial grass.

You can put any mat you want on top of the artificial grass. Often our guests don’t put anything on top of it, because of the absorbing nature of the artificial grass. In front of the artificial grass you may only put a ‘grow-through mat’ (mat with actual holes), but preferably nothing. This ensures that your pitch will always stay green and clean!

Which TV channels do you have and what do I need to receive them?

In terms of TV channels, we cann't guarantee the channels we can offer as we are dependent on our provider in this regard. In order to view the channels, you need a TV with a DVB-t tuner. Analogue signals are no longer transmitted. If you have any doubts, please contact us.

Why are TV connections limited?

In order to keep our prices reasonable, we are unable to provide more than 30 pitches with a television signal. You can indicate this when booking if you are interested. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that these will still be available. Do you have a satellite dish? Please indicate this in advance so that you can get a pitch with satellite reception.

Can I hire (electric) bicycles at the campsite?

Regular bicycles can be rented at the reception desk. Only a limited number of bikes are available, so it’s often wise to inform us in advance that you want to hire bicycles. Then we can reserve them for you. We have ladies and men’s bicycles with front and/or rear child’s seats available. There’s also one ‘mom bike’ for rent. The costs are € 10.00 per day or € 50.00 per week. The costs for a child’s seat are € 2.50 per day per seat.

Electric bikes are for rent in Gasselte at Jaap Vos Rijwieltechniek. Mountain bikes are also for rent here.

Can I make an online booking for periods of more than 28 days?

Absolutely! You’ll first have to choose your object type (e.g. comfort pitch). Once you have done that you can book longer periods in the calendar as well. In step 2 of the booking process you can also select a special offer that you want to use. Want to book a special offer more easily?
